Roundtable Discussion on Spirituality, Appropriation, and Antiracism with Dr. Simran Jeet Singh

Initiated in honor of Father Jake Foglio, the MSU Foglio Speaker Series on Spirituality offers the opportunity to explore the manifold meanings and applications of “spirituality” in the contemporary world through lectures, talks, workshops, and experiential events. The series aims to cultivate greater awareness of and appreciation for the many ways spirituality manifests across global religious cultures (including issues of appropriation), interacts with public life, and emerges as a secular orientation for pursuing meaning, purpose, and belongingness.

We would like to thank this year’s sponsors: The Foglio Endowed Chair of Spirituality, Center for Integrative Studies in the Arts and Humanities (IAH), Citizen Scholars, College of Arts & Letters, Department of African American and African Studies, Department of Religious Studies, MSU Alumni Office, Muslim Studies Program, Office for Institutional Diversity and Inclusion (IDI), and Peace and Justice Studies.
