Honeycomb Gallery Debut

Location: Alleyway next to (SCENE) Metrospace | 110 Charles St. East Lansing, MI

We’re thrilled to launch the first of three student-designed microgalleries outside (SCENE) Metrospace this semester, with two more planned for the MSU Union and the East Lansing neighborhood in the spring. This project is a dynamic partnership between Michigan State University and the City of East Lansing, creating new opportunities for art to become part of everyday public spaces. By empowering students to build and curate these galleries, we’re not only making contemporary art more accessible, but also championing the vital role students play in facilitating creative exchange between campus and community.

The Honeycomb Gallery was designed and created this Fall by the Department of Art, Art History, and Design’s STA 352: Introduction to Sculpture students. This course was co-taught by Barbara Pearsall and Rafael Villares.
