Call For Proposals: Accessible Learning Conference 2021
The ongoing pandemic underscores our need to examine how we create community, continuity, and accessibility in our learning spaces. Please join us in this conversation by submitting a proposal for Accessible Learning Conference 2021: Transforming Access in COVID Times. The conference will be online and asynchronous.
Conference Dates: December 2 and 3, 2021.
Proposal Deadline: Nov. 1
Anyone in the MSU community is invited to present. We especially want to hear undergraduate and graduate student perspectives. You are welcome to build off classwork or presentations you have already done that are related to accessibility in learning.
Possible formats include: panel discussions, individual presentation of your teaching/learning experience during Covid, roundtable discussions, and virtual posters. You are welcome to be creative. We can assist you with recording, captioning, and posting your presentations.
Ideas for topics:
- What has your experience of access been during your time at MSU?
- What are effective examples of how access has worked in your teaching or learning?
- In imagining greater access and better design, what could be “even better if…”?
- What have you learned about your own learning that would be helpful for your peers, faculty, and MSU administrators to know about student experiences?
- What do you want others in the MSU community to know about your journey as a student?
