DIE/GEST
Opening Program – Friday, February 17th from 6-8pm at the MSU Broad Art Museum
Art, music, poetry, and spoken word come together to tell a story about the inhumanity of the US carceral system in DIE/GEST, an interactive mixed media installation created by artist Mia Pearlman, jazz musician Albert Marquès, and Keith LaMar, a writer, artist, and activist who has spent almost 30 years in solitary confinement on death row in Ohio.
You’re invited to the opening program of DIE/GEST, including a special live music and spoken-word performance by Albert Marquès and Keith LaMar. The performance will be followed by a moderated conversation, with an opportunity for guests to engage directly with the artists.
DIE/GEST is on view through July 9, 2023.
Registration for this free event is required.
