Description: Corpus tools and techniques have many uses in language teaching and learning, including directly for learners as they explore the language for themselves. This talk introduces the concept and rationale of “data-driven learning”, then surveys research over the last 30 years before moving on to some more accessible but less usual examples of teaching and learning activities.
