Furniture and Sustainability – Architect Luisa Bocchietto, Former President of the Industrial Design Association (ADI) and of the World Design Organization (WDO) will talk about furniture, sustainability, Italian design, and how design has expanded from product design to the design of processes and services that involve communities as well as companies. Architect Bocchietto will also discuss how to submit an application to WDO to become a WDO Capital of Design in 2026 (as Turin has been in the past). This synergistic effort will bring Italy even closer to Detroit, carrying out further joint projects on the theme of Design.
