Learn more about what the word, “hunger” means from the perspectives of your local youth in Flint and Lansing! The youth focused on the questions What is hunger? What do you hunger for? These questions were broadly interpreted and addressed through the participants’ own eyes and experiences; their photographs and their writings. There are approximately 100 photos printed in different sizes and formats along with accompanying texts. In addition, a CD featuring local choirs singing originally commissioned pieces through the #MidwestHungerIs project is often played as accompaniment to the display.
