New to Publishing Information Session and Networking Event

Presented by HarperCollins Publishers

Are you looking to start or transition into a career in book publishing? Are you passionate about books? Would you love a deeper understanding of what the publishing industry is all about? If so, we are now accepting applications for our seventh annual New to Publishing Information Session and Networking Event! At HarperCollins, we are committed to diversity and inclusion, if you identify as part of an underrepresented community, we strongly encourage you to apply. We will have both an in-person event and a virtual session. Invited attendees can choose which event is best for them to participate in. During each session, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Hear tips on resumes, cover letters, and the interview process from HarperCollins’ Senior Director of Talent Acquisition.
  • Gain a broader perspective on the industry by participating in live panels; engage with a variety of departments and learn how they collaborate and innovate together.
  • Build your professional network and have an opportunity to connect one-on-one with an industry expert via an informational interview.

The New to Publishing event(s) is perfect for anyone without industry experience looking to start their career in book publishing or transition to the industry mid-career. This is an excellent opportunity for those looking to change fields or to gain exposure to the following departments:
