Panel Discussion: Serving as a Volunteer with a Disability
The MSU Peace Corps Recruitment Office welcomes all MSU students to an event on serving as a Peace Corps volunteer with a disability. As the preeminent international service organization of the United States, the Peace Corps sends Americans abroad to tackle the most pressing needs of people around the world. Peace Corps Volunteers work at the grassroots level toward sustainable change that lives on long after their service. When they return home, Volunteers bring their knowledge and experiences—and a global outlook—that enriches the lives of those around them.
Come enjoy snacks, meet the MSU Peace Corps Recruiters, learn about serving in and applying to the Peace Corps, and attend a virtual panel with returned Peace Corps Volunteers who served with a disability. Discover the unique challenges and rewards of serving with a disability alongside a community overseas. Ask questions about service and gain tips for authentic engagement with a community abroad.
From 5:30-6:00pm, have a snack and chat with MSU’s recruiters and other attendees. The virtual panel will take place from 6:00-7:00pm (Eastern) and attendees can watch as a group. If you are unable to join the in-person portion, you can register for the webinar and watch it wherever you are!
