Please join the Creative Writing Program and English 200 for a conversation and reading with local poets Janine Certo and Robin Silbergleid.  Janine Certo is the author of two books of poetry: Elixir, winner of both the New American Poetry Prize and the Lauria/Frasca Poetry Prize (New American Press and Bordighera Press, forthcoming 2021) and In the Corner of the Living, as well as a book of poetry scholarship, Children Writing Poems: Poetic Voices in and out of School (Routledge, 2018).  She is associate professor in the College of Education at Michigan State University.  Robin Silbergleid is the author of the memoir Texas Girl (Demeter 2014), the collection The Baby Book (CavanKerry 2015) and co-editor of Reading and Writing Experimental Texts: Critical Innovations (Palgrave 2017).  She is associate professor of English and Director of Creative Writing at Michigan State University.
