Religious Soundscapes Art Opening

In collaboration with Ohio State University, please join the College of Arts & Letters on May 24, 2022 at 5 pm for a special alumni night to celebrate a special viewing of the Religious Soundscapes Exhibit at the Urban Arts Space at The Ohio State University. This new immersive audio exhibit will feature the work of the American Religious Sounds Project.

The American Religious Sounds Project offers resources for studying and interpreting the diversity of American religious life by attending to its varied sonic cultures. This project is intended for multiple audiences, including scholars, educators, students, and the general public. Please join us as we explore new ways to hear religion and its place in American life.

The event will be hosted by Amy DeRogatis, Chair and Professor of Religion and American Culture in the Department of Religious Studies at Michigan State University, and Isaac Weiner, Associate Professor of Comparative Studies and Associate Director of the Center for the Study of Religion at The Ohio State University.
