Dr. Sandra Deshors will lead a relatively informal discussion designed to help students within the field of Applied Linguistics to think about their professional digital presence. The session will focus on essential elements that are good to include in a professional website, how to make sense of visitor data analytics, which web hosting sites (e.g., MSU Domains, WordPress, Google Sites, etc.) to consider, and how to modify a Google Site with HTML to customize the look of the page. Whether you already have established a digital presence or are looking to get started, all are welcome!

Dr. Paula Winke will go over tips for designing or formatting a CV that grows with you, and discuss e-versions or components of your CV (ORCID, OSF, Academia, ResearchGate, LinkedIn, Google Scholar, etc.). Bring your resume or CV (PDF or Word version) if you would like to share as part of a peer-review session, or just come as you are to get ideas of what others are doing: We’ll review and discuss all on hand.
