Student conversation with Cristina Rivera Garza

Join Pulitzer Prize–winning author Cristina Rivera Garza for an intimate conversation about the themes and creative process behind her celebrated book Liliana’s Invincible Summer. In this student-centered session, Rivera Garza will share insights into how she approached reconstructing her sister’s life through writing, and how literature can open spaces for empathy, memory, and transformation.

Students will have the opportunity to ask questions, reflect on their own relationships to storytelling, and consider how writing can become a practice of both personal healing and social engagement.

Come ready for an open and inspiring dialogue with one of the most powerful voices in contemporary Latin American literature.
